Now Hiring: Electrical Utilities Manager Power Systems Expert Location: (Insert Location) | Industry: Utilities & Infrastructure | Full-TimeFuzeHR is now hiring a seasoned Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in medium and high-voltage power systems to lead a critical utility operation. This is a hands-on leadership role not project management where your technical knowledge and strategic thinking will directly impact infrastructure reliability and innovation.What Youll Do:Lead the design, operation, and long-term planning of a 69kV/12.5kV electrical distribution system.Manage a skilled team of engineers, trades, and technical staff.Ensure compliance with Canadian Electrical Code, WorkSafeBC, and MMCD standards.Collaborate with regulators and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable power delivery.Respond to outages and provide expert guidance under pressure.Guide engineers and skilled trades in day-to-day work activities, project planning and oversight, maintenance operations, and more. Provide technical oversight, performance management, and ensure team members have the tools and knowledge to execute their roles safely and efficiently.Collaborate with regulators, utilities, and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable power delivery.Provide expert advice for academic initiatives related to electrical power systems and utility integration.Create or present statistics reports on outages or power quality events.Create tender specifications for capital replacement projects, collaborate with Procurement to issue tender documents, review and score tender submissions.*Respond to power outages and provide administrative leadership that could affect timeliness of power restoration. Perform follow-up incident reporting and mitigation plan. Confer with BC Hydro / TSBC / other regulators regarding power supply / system safety / Regulation changes.Perform site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with TSBC Field Safety Representative requirements.Develop new system design/standards, drive innovation in utility design, standards, and long-term infrastructure planning.Own the department and contribute to ongoing continuous improvement & operational excellence!What You Bring: P.Eng. designation Extensive experience in MV/HV distribution systems Strong knowledge of Canadian electrical regulations Leadership experience in utility operations Strategic mindset with hands-on technical skillsThis is your chance to own and shape a vital utility system and contri from capital planning to emergency response.
