Our mission is to lead innovation in the design and delivery of smarter infrastructure systems.Position SummaryWe are seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead our engineering function and help shape the companys product roadmap from concept to execution. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for all engineering activities including system design, testing, and collaboration with internal and external partners. You will be a key executive driving Wafrs long-term innovation strategy and product development in the data center sector.The ideal candidate has deep experience in engineering management, systems development, and product R&D, especially in industries involving large-scale infrastructure, energy systems, or data center environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategySet the vision, goals, and structure for the engineering team, ensuring alignment with company strategy and product development goals.Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team capable of supporting rapid growth and innovation.Work closely with the CEO and leadership team on long-term planning and roadmap execution.Product DevelopmentOversee the end-to-end design and development of Wafrs infrastructure systems.Lead the product from early-stage concept and prototyping to field validation and customer deployment.Manage technical risk, product timelines, and resource allocation to deliver high-quality results.R&D ManagementDrive internal research initiatives to improve product efficiency, reliability, and performance.Translate complex system requirements into clear technical plans and prototypes.Build partnerships with external research organizations, universities, and labs to support innovation.Cross-functional CollaborationWork with product, operations, and customer teams to ensure successful implementation and scalability.Interface with customers and partners on technical discussions, field trials, and product feedback.Represent the company in industry forums, technical discussions, and investor meetings where appropriate.Execution & Scale-upDefine and implement best practices in engineering process, documentation, and project management.Lead system testing, validation, and improvements based on real-world performance data.Support the transition of R&D projects into production-ready solutions and scalable deployments.QualificationsRequiredBachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related).10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, ideally in infrastructure, energy, or large system environments.Proven track record in leading product development teams and bringing innovation to market.Strong systems thinking and experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.Experience working in or with companies that serve data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large infrastructure projects.PreferredExperience in a scaling or early-stage technology company.Familiarity with product commercialization cycles from lab to market.Comfortable managing both technical execution and team leadership.Prior experience working with customers in complex B2B or industrial sectors.What We OfferExecutive leadership role with high ownership and influence.Equity participation in a growing deep-tech company.Flexible work culture with a mission-driven, collaborative team.The opportunity to build products that contribute to more sustainable and efficient digital infrastructure.To ApplySend your resume and a short introduction to with the subject line: VP of Engineering Application (Your Name)
