FCC Canada excels in civil works such as roads, railways, maritime construction, tunnels, bridges, and subway projects.About the Project:Cross Fraser Partnership (CFP), a joint venture including Bouygues Construction Canada, will deliver an eight-lane immersed tube tunnel to replace the existing George Massey Tunnel on Highway 99. The project will feature three vehicle lanes, a dedicated transit lane in each direction, and a separated corridor for cyclists and pedestrians.Position Overview:Support the permitting process for a major infrastructure project, ensuring environmental compliance across federal, provincial, and municipal levels. Work closely with project teams, regulatory agencies, and Indigenous communities to align approvals with project goals.Key Responsibilities:Assist with environmental permit applications, reviews, and approvals.Identify and resolve permitting information gaps.Support communication between project teams and regulatory agencies.Align permitting with Indigenous engagement and project schedules.Maintain a detailed permit database, tracking conditions and compliance.Review environmental requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.Coordinate environmental mitigation into design and construction processes.Research global innovations to reduce construction impacts.Prepare and review permit documentation and environmental management plans.Assist with presentations, public engagement materials, and open house events.Help manage and audit third-party environmental monitors.Identify and track risks related to environmental approvals, recommending mitigation strategies.Education and Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.1+ years experience in environmental permitting or monitoring in BC, including freshwater or marine environments.Legally able to work in Canada.Familiarity with federal and BC permitting requirements.Strong technical writing skills for environmental management plans.Experience coordinating communications with Indigenous groups and regulatory bodies.Skilled in project management and meeting deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Why You Should Apply:Up to 5% RRSP matchingCareer advancement, training, and education supportTravel allowance4 weeks vacationSalary Range: $60,000 $80,000 (plus bonus and comprehensive benefits).
