**About Us** At Jones Food Store Equipment, we supply, install, and service refrigeration equipment primarily for supermarkets throughout British Columbia. Founded in 1971, our strong relationships with the leaders in the industry are built on a foundation of integrity and innovation. We work with architects, general contractors, and store owners on small to large scale supermarket refrigeration installation and renovation projects. **Our Opportunity** We are looking for a new addition to our design team with a primary focus on AutoCAD and a secondary focus on refrigeration design and engineering. This position requires skills and experience with using AutoCAD along with strong administrative skills and organization. AutoCAD work will be completed in conjunction with our Designer to complete plans and update mechanical schedules. On the job training will be provided but candidates must have strong AutoCAD skills. Our field is specialized and the industry/technology is constantly changing so those with inquisitive minds will find lots to learn about. **Primary Responsibilities:** * Read and interpret drawings, equipment schedules, and architectural legends, and update these drawings and documents as needed or directed. * Organize drawings and project documentation for future reference. * Assist with refrigeration design, create drawing sets, request and review equipment selections/quotes * Assist with estimating, including collecting and organizing information required for estimates, including changes to project requirements, tracking submission deadlines, and submitting information on behalf of Installation Manager. * Complete data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks as needed * Complete ad hoc duties following up with or ordering items from suppliers, contacting customers to clarify requirements, calling technicians for coordination. * Communicates with all stakeholders: customers, architects, sales staff, contractors, and vendors. * Performs related duties as needed or assigned. **Requirements:** * Post Secondary Diploma in drafting/design (CAD). Specialty in Mechanical is preferred * Proficient in AutoCAD; * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; * Ability to read and interpret drawing sets. * Quick learner who is very detail oriented. * Excellent problem solving and time management skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Good team player * Strong work ethic * Refrigeration or HVAC knowledge or experience is an asset. * Construction or project management knowledge or experience is an asset. * Supermarket experience is an asset.
