**Grademan / Gradeperson** Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Grademan / Gradeperson to work on duct bank projects located in Edmonton. We offer competitive wages, work / life balance, great opportunity for advancement, training and potential for work over the winter. **Duties include (but are not limited to):** * Work with the foreman to determine work planning and flow * Establish grade for civil work * Work closely with the foreman to respond to materials needed * Maintain a high level of communication with the crew and operators to ensure safety, quality and timing * Complete site documentation as required * Participate in inspections and incidents - address deficiencies / issues through corrective actions * Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity **Required Skills:** * 2+ years of grade work experience * Civil / Earthworks experience * Prior duct bank experience is an asset * Ability to read blueprints and grade sheets * Ability to use various survey equipment * Safety conscious * Competent in the use of various rigging techniques and mechanisms * Organized and always one step ahead of the crew * Able to work independently and follow instruction from the foreman * Able to support other positions as needed * Strong communication skills provide instructions clearly with sufficient detail * Ability to mentor workers for advancement * Consistent, reliable and always show up for work fit for duty **Required Certifications:** * CSTS 2020 * WHMIS 2015 * Ground Disturbance Level 2
