Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd. is on the lookout for an Intermediate Project Controls specialist to join our dynamic team in beautiful Prince Rupert. This exciting opportunity involves overseeing project controls matters in close collaboration with our Project Manager. We are offering a 14-month full-time commitment, with the potential to extend up to 2 years, allowing you to gain invaluable experience while making a significant impact through diverse and engaging assignments! **Position Details:** * Location: Prince Rupert * Duration: Anticipated 12-month full-time role * Work Schedule: Two weeks on-site followed by One week off-site. * Benefits: Accommodation and travel expenses covered **Key Responsibilities:** * Convert Proposal Estimates into Project Budgets * Monitor Daily and Weekly Reporting * Participate in Change Management * Maintain Project Risk Registers * Ensure Compliance with Project History Records * Set up Project WBS, Cost Codes, and Baseline Budget * Enforce Project Controls Policies * Update Project Cash Flows * Analyze Variances and Provide Forecasts * Review Project Contracts for Compliance * Support Change Management * Advice on Project Controls Strategy * Train and Develop Project Staff * Collaborate closely with the Contracts Specialist **Qualifications / Requirements:** * Minimum 5 years of Project Controls experience * Proven success in Project Controls on fixed-price contracts * Knowledge of scheduling software (Microsoft Project, P6) * Engineering / Accounting Degree or equivalent * Solid understanding of cost, schedule, change, and risk management * Experience in claims substantiation on complex projects * Ability to develop accurate Project Control systems * Proficient in generating internal and external reports **Skills/Abilities/Attributes:** * High professional and ethical standards * Proactive with sound judgment * Collaborative, results-oriented mindset * Excellent communication skills * Strong relationship-building abilities * Detail-oriented with exceptional time-management skills * Independent worker and effective team player * Mentoring and teaching abilities in project controls processes **Salary Range:** $90,000 - $110,000 **How to Apply:** Join us and be a part of a project that makes a difference!
