Job Title

The shop helper will be working under a team of experienced technicians to help maintain a clean, organized and safe work space. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to assist and work on a variety of heavy trucks, heavy equipment, pick up trucks, and small engines. **Salary:** $20-$24/hr, dependent on experience **Benefits:** Group benefits and RRSP matching available **Responsibilities** * Grinding and painting equipment * Cleaning vehicle and equipment cabs * Pressure washing pick-up trucks, dump trucks and heavy equipment * Polish wheels * Cleaning and organizing the shop and yard * Assist team with welding, cutting and fabrication * Assist mechanics with oil changes, tire changes, and various repairs on a wide variety of heavy equipment and trucks * Other duties will be assigned as required **Desired Skills and Experience** * Prior experience working in a shop and mechanical environment is preferred * Experience with a wide variety of hand and power tools, mechanically inclined * Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs * Ability to work independently and follow instructions * Must be safety conscious * Excellent team player * Strong attention to detail * Great communication skills * Strong time management and organizational skills * Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn * Must be punctual and personable * Must obtain WHMIS, Working at Heights and Occupational Health and Safety training *Musselman Excavating is an equal opportunity employer.
