Standard General is dedicated to making a lasting impression through our work, our people and our relationships. **Job Summary** --------------- The Loader Operator is a full-time, seasonal position, responsible for loading asphalt plant feeder bins with aggregate for the production of asphalt for paving crews. **Qualifications** ------------------ **Education, Training and Certifications** * Valid drivers license (Class 5). * Own transportation. **Work Experience** * Minimum 3-5 years experience. **Technical Skills** * Ability to operate 980 Cat loader. * Ability to load 400 tonnes of aggregate an hour. * Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written. **Soft Skills** * Communication (verbal and written) * Sense of urgency to meet deadlines * Conflict resolution * Customer Service * Teamwork * Attention to detail * Self-starter * Safety conscious * Problem Solving * Responsibility and dependability * Planning and organization * Interpersonal skills * Professionalism * Accountability * Integrity and ethics * Stress tolerance **Working Conditions** ---------------------- * Overtime as required. * Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust, grease, fumes, odors, oil, asphalt, and toxic and flammable substances. * Required to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting, bending, and strenuous movements. * Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended. * Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required. * Must comply with the companys drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements. * Must comply with all company policies.
