Even if you feel like you dont meet all criteria, please give it a shot, and still apply.* **About the Position:** The Marketing Specialist plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives that drive effective and engaging campaigns. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, this role collaborates across the organization to plan, research, write, and implement content that aligns with marketing objectives and enhances brand presence. The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-motivated marketing professional who excels in a fast-paced environment. They bring a collaborative spirit, creative thinking, and a passion for delivering impactful marketing solutions while consistently reflecting the organizations core values. Primary responsibilities include: * Creation of marketing-oriented content through various channels, such as digital advertisements, email campaigns, social media, website material, and editorial publications. * Drive the execution of marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with campaign goals, timelines, and performance standards. * Collaborate primarily with the Director of Marketing and Communications to shape and implement strategies that elevate brand visibility and engagement. * Provide marketing support to other departments, ensuring all assistance directly reinforces organizational marketing priorities and consistency with messaging. * Manage and streamline the content development process, including scheduling, revisions, and internal/external approvals for marketing materials. * Edit and enhance marketing content for clarity, tone, and brand alignment, focusing on driving audience engagement and conversion. * Assist in designing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional media, strongly emphasizing social platforms. * Perform basic image and graphic editing to support visual storytelling in marketing efforts. * Contribute to social media planning, content creation, and publishing across official marketing channels. * Maintain and grow corporate social media accounts, uphold brand voice and engagement strategies. * Use appropriate tools to monitor social media activity, moderate community interactions, and enforce brand and engagement policies. * Regularly update and manage the organizations marketing-related web content; identify opportunities for digital improvements aligned with campaign goals. * Partner with internal programs strictly to ensure their content contributions align with overall marketing strategies, ensuring accuracy and timely updates. * Optimize and prepare imagery for use in marketing materials, verifying all visual assets have appropriate consent and usage rights. * Perform additional marketing tasks as assigned, with all efforts rooted in enhancing the organizations visibility, messaging consistency, and market position. **Work Location:** * Hamilton, ON. **Position Requirements:** * University or college degree or equivalent experience. A specialization in marketing is an asset. * 3 years of professional marketing experience (construction/manufacturing an asset). * Highly adaptable and quick to learn emerging social media platforms, tools, and technologies to stay ahead of digital trends. * Collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities. * Skilled at identifying and responding to new trends in social media by rapidly creating timely, relevant, and engaging content. * Consistently dependable, demonstrating reliability, accountability, and a strong professional work ethic. * Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a focus on clarity, tone, and audience engagement. * Agile and flexible, able to shift seamlessly between tasks and assignments based on evolving project needs. * Self-driven with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrating effective time management, organizational skills, and ownership of daily responsibilities. Skills and Competency Requirements * Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop engaging, audience-focused content across multiple marketing channels. * Proven experience in social media strategy and website content development, supported by a strong background in integrated communications. * Proficient in digital tools and platforms, including HTML, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro), Canva, content management systems (e.g., CoSchedule and Hootsuite), Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey, and basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices (Google Analytics). * Deep understanding of key social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter), including features such as Instagram Reels and social media dashboards for analytics and engagement tracking. * Some experience with sales event coordination, including working with external vendors and partners (e.g., web development firms) to support marketing-related initiatives. * Some expertise in design, graphics, and layout to design and develop communication campaigns. * An understanding and familiarity with current and emerging social and website design trends and technologies. * Social listening: interpreting feedback and taking action to increase engagement on social media. * Strong attention to detail, writing, and editing (photo/video/text). * An ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines. * Ability to monitor industry announcements and news and identify potential influences for the company. **Compensation Package:** * Negotiable salary based on experience. * Vacation. * Paid sick and Bereavement leaves. * Flexible extended health and dental care packages. * Employee Assistance Program. * RRSP Matching. * Profit Sharing. * Employee Family Scholarship Program. * Tuition support (Apprentice, Continued Education) * Values in Action (ViA)- participating in charity events coordinated by employees.
