Reporting to the Vice President and working closely with the President, Board of Directors, and Chief and Council of NTBB, the General Manager will oversee daily operations, ensure alignment with strategic goals, and support the continued success of HICs business ventures.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who thrives on operational excellence, community collaboration, and driving results.Schedule: Monday to Friday, occasional weekends or evenings as required.Hours: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (40 hours per week)Location: Onsite at 47805 Olson Road Burns LakeMonthly Travel Stipend provided, based on length of travel to the office.Travel Requirements: Local travel required. You are also culturally aware, collaborative, and committed to Indigenous economic development.What You Will DoExecute strategic plans and ensure alignment with HIC and NTBB prioritiesOversee business operations, contracts, projects, and vendor relationshipsProvide leadership in resource planning, staff supervision, and performance managementManage budgets, financial analysis, and risk mitigation activitiesRepresent HIC in interactions with community members, government, industry partners, and stakeholdersFoster operational efficiency, strong partnerships, and business development opportunitiesEnsure compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy standardsPromote HICs services and brand through outreach, communication, and professionalism.What you BringRequired Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field5+ years of progressive experience in business operations or corporate planning3+ years in a senior leadership role with staff supervision responsibilitiesStrong financial management skills, including budgeting and reportingExperience working with or for Indigenous communities or organizationsExcellent communication, relationship-building, and project management skillsValid Class 5 drivers license and ability to obtain business-use vehicle insurancePreferred Qualifications:MBA or relevant advanced degreeCPA, CFA, or other professional designationExperience in forestry, construction, or resource-related industriesFamiliarity with government funding, proposal writing, or economic development grantsKnowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting Indigenous economic developmentWhat We OfferSalary $78,000-$98,000 per annum based on experience.Three weeks annual vacation (6% accrual)Every second Friday afternoon off with pay.An additional paid time off during the holiday seasonA healthy extended benefits plan, including ten sick days and five cultural days per yearOpportunities for professional learning, development and advancement.To ApplyInterested candidates are invited to apply online HERE.
