Senior Care Professional As a senior care professional, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to seniors in complex care and assisted living settings. Your responsibilities will include performing assessments, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing personal and nursing care to residents, including medication administration. You will assess and monitor resident and family''s actual and potential strengths and limitations, including physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs. Based on the assessments, you will contribute to the development and ongoing changes to the individualized plan of care, including attending and providing input into multidisciplinary care planning meetings and family conferences. You will administer oral, transdermal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous medications, including PRN medication, in accordance with organizational and pharmaceutical policies and procedures. You will provide work direction by assigning and/or delegating tasks, demonstrating work routines, and overseeing the orientation of new staff. You will maintain a safe environment for residents, significant others, and staff by adhering to established health and safety policies, standards, and procedures, including emergency procedures and infection control guidelines. You will perform other related duties as assigned by the Care Manager. Requirements: Graduate of recognized school of nursing Certificate of Geriatric Nursing (or previous experience) an asset Current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of BC (CRPNBC) Current CPR and First Aid certification Benefits: Full-time position available Competitive hourly rate: $34.72-$55.87 per hour Relocation assistance available How to Apply: Please submit your resume and cover letter to apply for this position.
