Job Description

Job Title: Industrial Mechanic Specialist We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our team as an Maintenance Technician at our Water Filtration Plant. About the Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all mechanical installations and systems at our Water Filtration Plant, including troubleshooting and repairing equipment and installations; Performing regular inspections and maintaining up-to-date records of work performed; Carrying out preventative maintenance tasks and procedures; Working within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to fill in work orders, reports, and requests; Communicating the status of work orders and work plans with the Supervisor; Participating in capital project work when required; Attending health and safety training as needed; Performing duties of a Water Treatment Maintenance Operator as necessary; Participating in weekly on-call rotations with other Water Treatment Maintenance Operators; Requirements: A college level diploma in an applicable field; Possession of a valid Red Seal in the Industrial Mechanic discipline; Water Treatment & Water Distribution & Supply Operator-in-Training (OIT) licenses completed within probationary period; Water Treatment Class 1 license acquired within 18 months of employment; A minimum of five years of experience in a mechanical maintenance position; Experience working with various mechanical systems 0.5 to 500 hp motors and pumps, actuated and manual isolation and control valves, mixers, chain of flights, etc.; Knowledge, skills, and experience in mechanical plans and take-offs; Experience working with SCADA or PLC systems; Ability to follow oral and written instructions and understand technical data and specifications; Ability to prioritize work requests and assignments; Basic understanding and experience with computers would be an asset; Demonstrated ability to work safely and follow OSHA regulations; Working at heights certification an asset; Candidate must be physically fit and capable of performing physically demanding work in all types of weather; Good communication skills written and oral; Ability to work individually and in a team environment; Benefits: This is a full-time position offering competitive salary and benefits package.
