Job Description

Our client, a unionized food manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery, ensuring smooth operations and safety standards. We are looking for someone with proven experience in maintenance management, particularly in a rendering environment, edible oil processing or similar industries. Maintenance Manager Details:Monday-Friday, Day Shift$135K-$165K based on qualifications+ bonusBenefits from day 13 Weeks vacation Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:Set key production metrics (efficiency, uptime, reliability)Oversee daily maintenance activities and support techniciansEnsure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standardsOptimize equipment design and departmental processesManage maintenance budgets and cost-saving initiativesCollaborate with various teams and lead the maintenance departmentMaintain safety and operational standards in food processing equipmentContinuously improve maintenance processes and monitor policiesTrain staff and ensure adherence to safety regulations Maintenance Manager QualificationsBachelors degree: a professional designation in engineering or equivalent443A or 442A an asset5 years of experience in a food manufacturing setting as a Sr. Maintenance Manager is a mustProven experience in maintenance management, particularly in a rendering environment, Oil & gas , edible oil processing or similar industries preferred. Experience with centrifugal equipment a must. Strong background in rendering processes is essential.Experience with CAPEX management and Project ManagementExperience implementing safety policies and proceduresExperience implementing maintenance tracking and work order systems or programs an assetExperience in budgeting and cost management within maintenance operations.
