About the Company:Our client, a prominent national law firm, is seeking a Legal Assistant with experience in Intellectual Property and Trademarks to join their expanding team.About the Role:As a Legal Assistant in the Intellectual Property Group, you will provide dedicated support to lawyers in the practice.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing intellectual property documents based on written, oral, and recorded instructions, using precedents where applicable.Drafting affidavits and litigation documents, and coordinating court dates and appearances.Composing routine correspondence on behalf of lawyers and ensuring documents are thoroughly proofread and edited.Entering time dockets and assisting with the preparation of client accounts.Communicating with clients to obtain information and instructions, and relaying them to the appropriate lawyer.Managing daily operations of the lawyers practice, such as opening files, scheduling hearings and meetings, and arranging travel or accommodations.Maintaining an efficient bring-forward system and ensuring lawyers are kept up to date on pending matters.Overseeing administrative functions to ensure accuracy and timely completion of tasks.Organizing records related to lawyers involvement in conferences, professional organizations, and business development activities.Providing occasional support to other lawyers and team members as needed.The Offer:This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension. Compensation will be based on experience, and the successful candidate will be eligible for benefits.What You Bring:College Diploma in Legal Administration.A minimum of 3 years legal assistant experience specializing in IP, Trademarks and Litigation.Understanding of Federal and Superior court procedures.Knowledge and familiarly with Pattsy, Kofax/Adobe, ACL, iPro/Eclipse, Titan File and CaseLine.Proficient in MS Office 365 with strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
