YOUR JOB OPPORTUNITYWorking in combination with our Preconstruction and project teams, the Preconstruction Manager, will provide essential support to our projects, and our construction team. You will have management responsibilities that will see you support our sales, and projects groups. Further details are provided below.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREDConstruction Project Management,, Estimating, Quantity Surveying or related designation.Experience in a similar role working directly for a general contractor on commercial and multi family developments.Experience with estimating software.Experience with Procore, PDF editing in BlueBeam or similar software, advanced Microsoft skills.Strong attention to detail and organization and time management skills.Analytical problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Motivated & forward thinking.Eager to learn and adapt, especially in the field of innovative technology integration.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESReview project drawings, specifications, and related documents.Develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work.Account for overhead, contingencies, and profit margins.Perform accurate material and quantity takeoffs from blueprints and plans.Use digital tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, to streamline takeoff processes.Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals for construction projects.Review bid requirements and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant.Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.Evaluate pricing, timelines, and reliability of external partners.Identify potential risks or uncertainties in the project scope and budget.Incorporate allowances or contingencies into estimates to manage these risks.Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to clarify project scope and expectations.Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather additional information.Assist in monitoring project budgets during construction.Update estimates and projections as project conditions evolve.Recommend cost-saving alternatives or construction methods that maintain quality while reducing expenses.COMPENSATIONThe company provides above industry standard compensation package plus you will be included in the bonus pool.
