Were excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Maintenance and Engineering Manager.This is a high-impact leadership role in a heavy industrial environment, responsible for leading capital projects, optimizing maintenance systems, and ensuring operational reliability. You will shape plant performance by developing and executing strategic engineering and maintenance programs.Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Leading and managing a multi-disciplinary maintenance and engineering team in a 24/7 heavy manufacturing environmentOverseeing the execution of capital projects from conception through commissioningDeveloping and administering preventive and predictive maintenance programsUtilizing CMMS/CCMS (Computerized/Cloud-based Maintenance Management Systems) to plan, track, and analyze maintenance work and asset healthDriving continuous improvement in equipment uptime, reliability, and cost controlCollaborating with operations, H&S, and quality to support safe and compliant productionManaging maintenance budgets and vendor contractsDeveloping and reporting on key KPIs including OEE, MTBF, and downtime trendsMandatory Requirements:8+ years of experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments (steel, chemical, aggregates, pulp & paper, or similar)3+ years in a leadership role overseeing maintenance and/or engineering teamsProven experience managing capital projects from scope development to executionStrong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance strategiesExperience with CMMS/CCMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Fiix, eMaint)Familiarity with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (OHSA, ESA, etc.)Preferred Requirements:Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or Licensed Millwright/Electrician with strong technical backgroundExperience implementing or optimizing maintenance systems and processesExposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologiesStrong leadership and communication skills with a continuous improvement mindsetLocation: Niagara, OntarioSalary Range: $120,000 - $130,000If you are interested in learning more about the Maintenance and Engineering Manager job opportunity, please submit your updated resume to celeste@itecgroup.caWe are recruitment industry leaders committed to quality service, integrity, respect and equal opportunity.
