This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.DutiesRepair and maintain punch presses and other machineryTroubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and other electro-mechanical equipmentTest and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgearTest repaired motors, transformers, switchgear or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performancePerform on-site servicing and repair.PerformPredictive maintenanceon all machinery and presses , this technique is designed to help determine the condition of in-service equipment in order to predict whenmaintenanceshould be performedPerformPreventative maintenanceregularly all machinery and presses to lessen the likelihood of it failing.Preventative maintenanceis performed while the equipment is still working, so that it does not break down unexpectedly.Ongoing maintenance of all equipment within all MTD facilities, including fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machinesRecording all maintenance related duties in appropriate logs.
