Altruck International Truck Centres is seeking a highly skilled and experienced 310T Truck and Coach Technician to join our team at our Hamilton location.(2 Arrowsmith Road, Hamilton)Job Summary:As a 310T Truck and Coach Technician, you will be performing repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty trucks ensure that they are in safe and reliable working condition. If you have a passion for trucks, excellent mechanical skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance, safeties and repairs on heavy-duty trucks including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systemsDiagnose and troubleshoot problems using advanced diagnostic tools and equipmentConduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problemsUse manufacturer's service manuals and technical data to repair and maintain vehiclesCommunicate with customers to explain work neededWork efficiently and effectively to meet tight deadlines and minimize downtimeAttend company sponsored training classes and dealer specific training courses as scheduled by managementParticipate in continuous improvement efforts to improve processes and reduce wasteMaintain a clean and organized work environmentOther related duties as assignedRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training in a related field (e.g. automotive technology) an asset1-3 years of experience as a heavy-duty truck technician or equivalent experience in the industryLicensed 310T Truck & Coach TechnicianValid G class drivers license with a good driving record.Must have necessary hand tools.Able to read and comprehend instructions and information.Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred Qualifications:Experience with a range of medium and heavy trucksFamiliarity with computerized diagnostic equipment and softwareExperience with fleet management software (e.g. Fleet Complete)Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detailBasic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)What We Offer:Up to $1500 of signing bonus for Qualified Technicians based on experienceCompetitive base wagesEarn $1500 with our technician referral bonus program.Generous annual boot and tool allowances.Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision)Ongoing training and development opportunitiesA dynamic work environment with a passionate teamWe offer perks such as pizza lunches, holiday lunches, BBQs and a paid day off to be used during the Christmas holidaysOpportunities for career advancement within the companyIf you are a skilled technician looking for a new challenge, please submit your application, including your resume outlining your experience and qualifications.
