Our client who is a Toronto-based leader in digital signage and audiovisual solutions, specializing in end-to-end design, integration, and deployment of immersive digital experiences across North America is seeking a Design Solutions Manager to lead its technical design team in delivering innovative digital signage solutions across North America. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality solution architecture, seamless cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Implementation teams, and technical excellence in deploying engaging digital experiences using LCD, LED, and other advanced display technologies.This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and motivated leader with strong industry expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for digital innovation.Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of Solutions Engineers and Designers.Oversee the development of bill of materials (BOMs), solution schematics, and technical documentation.Foster a collaborative, high-performance, and innovation-driven team culture.Guide the design and development of complex AV and digital signage solutions.Ensure all solutions meet client requirements, technical specifications, and quality benchmarks.Review and approve technical proposals, solution architecture, and configuration documentation.Collaborate with the Sales team to support pre-sales efforts with technical expertise.Participate in client meetings to articulate technical solutions aligned with business objectives.Contribute to RFP responses, pricing models, and scope of work (SOW) creation.Coordinate with the Implementation Team to ensure smooth handoff and execution of approved designs.Work with project managers and field technicians to validate installations and troubleshoot issues.Partner with Marketing and Product teams to incorporate emerging technologies and vendor offerings.Serve as a senior technical advisor throughout the client lifecycle.Lead discovery workshops and technical solution sessions with client stakeholders.Qualifications & Requirements:5+ years of experience in a technical leadership or managerial capacity.Strong background in AV design or digital signage engineering.Technical proficiency in:Large-format LED systems, video transport, and playback technologiesDigital Content Management Systems (CMS)Mechanical/structural display mounting systemsAutodesk tools and Microsoft VisioUnderstanding of IT networking (subnetting, VLANs) is preferred.Industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS/CTS-D are considered an asset.A mandatory criminal background check is required prior to employment.
