--------------Need onsite -Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-------------Job Title: Python & SQL DeveloperLocation: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid/ 3 days onsite)Job Type: Full TimeRole Overview:We are seeking a skilled Python & SQL Developer with experience in VBA macros, scripting, and a strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts.The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain data-driven solutions to support financial reporting and automation initiatives.Key Responsibilities:• Develop, optimize, and maintain Python scripts and SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.• Automate manual processes using VBA macros, VBScript, and other scripting languages.• Support and enhance regulatory reporting processes, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code and workflows.• Document technical solutions, processes, and best practices.Required Skills:• Proficiency in Python programming for data processing and automation. Pandas and data frame• Strong SQL skills (writing complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).• Experience with VBA macros, VBA code, and VBScript for Excel and other MS Office applications.• Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.• Experience with scripting and automation in a financial environment.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
