Operations Optimization Specialist The Operations Optimization Specialist is a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of our training programs. This 11-month contract position involves assessing operations and identifying opportunities for improvement to ensure training initiatives remain impactful and continuously evolving. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work from home one day per week, providing an ideal balance between work and personal life. Key Responsibilities: Provide weekly analytical assessments from qualitative and quantitative sources of information to inform recommendations on training program management. Perform core competencies such as rating assessment, payroll entry, and vetting. Act as the central point of contact for all training program management details, including trainee numbers and approved/denied statuses. Maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders to understand supply/demand dynamics and ensure Operations Supervisors are aware of training activities that can improve industry supply. Recommend opportunities for improvement to BCMEA systems. Produce slide decks for co-management meetings. Track Workforce Planning Dashboard information. Requirements: 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced and complex unionized work environment. Undergraduate degree or college diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in a related field. Strong analytical skills and data fluency to inform data-based decisions. Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate and communicate with multi-faceted teams, employees, and stakeholders. Ability to leverage conflict resolution and a solutions-driven mindset to calmly respond and resolve emergency situations. Proficient with Microsoft 365. Foundational conceptual understanding of coding, finance, accounting, and operations management.
