Position Title: Estimator ICI New Build Construction Location: Mississauga, ON Salary Range: $90,000 $120,000 Type: Full-Time | Permanent Industry: Construction Institutional, Commercial & Industrial (ICI) About the Opportunity Our client is a highly respected and well-established General Contractor with a long-standing reputation in the Canadian construction market. They are currently seeking a skilled Estimator to join their dynamic team and contribute to high-profile ICI new build projects across the Greater Toronto Area. Responsibilities Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for ICI new build projects ranging from $10M to $100M+ Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive and compliant bids Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and scope clarification Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, proposal documents, and cost breakdowns Review addenda and updates to drawings and specifications, and communicate changes to the team Participate in value engineering and risk assessment initiatives Provide post-tender support including cost breakdowns, clarifications, and negotiation support Qualifications 4+ years of estimating experience in the ICI construction sector, preferably focused on new builds Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, and building codes Proficient in estimating software such as Timberline, Bluebeam, or similar platforms Demonstrated ability to read and interpret plans and technical documents Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Collaborative team player with a keen eye for detail Why Join Our Client Competitive compensation and performance-based incentives Opportunity to work on landmark projects with a forward-thinking general contractor Supportive and inclusive work culture with clear pathways for growth Comprehensive benefits package and training opportunities
