With steady growth and a solid backlog of upcoming work, they offer a fantastic opportunity for a driven and organized individual to contribute meaningfully to a thriving, close-knit team.Job Description:Our client is seeking a Mechanical Project Coordinator to assist in the successful planning and execution of mechanical construction projects. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining project documentation, coordinating schedules, supporting field teams, and facilitating communication across departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a dynamic environment where collaboration and initiative are key. This role is based in Surrey, with occasional site visits required.Key Responsibilities:Project Coordination:Support project managers in planning and executing mechanical projects.Maintain and track project schedules, deadlines, and milestones.Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement and delivery of materials.Identify and communicate potential project risks, delays, or site needs.Assist with take-offs and project planning tasks.Documentation & Communication:Manage project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, drawings, change orders, and close-out packages.Prepare panel directories and organize QA/QC documentation.Facilitate communication between the office, field crews, clients, and subcontractors.Help develop and update O&M manuals throughout the project lifecycle.Maintain organized project correspondence and records.Site Team Support:Act as liaison between field and office teams, ensuring smooth flow of information.Provide up-to-date documentation to site staff (plans, specifications, inspection records).Maintain safety compliance and certification records.Skills and Qualifications:Experience with Site Docs, Procore, Bluebeam, Outlook, Excel, and Word - though proficiency in all is not required.Familiarity with mechanical contracting or construction environments. A Mechanical Engineering degree is desired.Understanding of construction documentation processes and terminology.Highly organized and detail-oriented.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.Team player with a positive, collaborative attitude.What You Can Expect:Our client offers a collaborative and down-to-earth work environment where initiative, reliability, and teamwork are genuinely valued.
