Adecco is currently seeking a Transmission Stations Project Engineer for a 12-month contract role with a leading utility provider in Edmonds, BC, offering $82/hour. In this role, youll lead engineering efforts on substation projects, develop safe and effective solutions, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support BCs energy infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for a P.Eng. with 8+ years of experience in the utility sector to make a meaningful impact on high-profile projects.Pay rate: $82/hour.Location: Edmonds, BCShifts: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pmJob type: 12-month contract | Full-timeHeres why you should apply:Hires fast, pays weekly.4% vacation pay paid out on each weekly pay cheque.Medical and dental benefits once qualified.Free training programsNew and quicker onboarding processResponsibilities:Develop safe and effective engineering solutions for medium complexity projects.Lead multi-discipline design teams and coordinate with project managers and delivery partners.Resolve complex design and field engineering issues through independent analysis and judgment.Contribute to technical standards and mentor junior engineers.Ensure compliance with EGBC regulations and BC Hydros Professional Practice Management Plan.Prepare and review engineering designs and specifications.Recommend changes to project plans and budgets.Conduct site visits across various station locations in BC.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.Requirements:Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.Registered P.Eng. with EGBC and Permit to Practice.Minimum 8 years of substation engineering experience in the electrical utility industry.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Valid Class 5 drivers license and access to a personal vehicle.Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.PMP certification would be an assetGood working knowledge of design and transmission lines would be an assetFamiliarity with CAD systems and industry-standard design software would be an assetExperience with digital seal technology (e.g., Notarius) would be an asset
