IMMEDIATE INTERIM OPPORTUNITYInterim Director Manufacturing OperationsReports To: Chief Operating OfficerDuration: 3 monthsLocation: Peel, ONOur client, a consumer goods manufacturer, is seeking an Interim Director Manufacturing Operations to provide leadership and ensure operational excellence during a critical time of change. This production expert will provide mentorship and coaching support to an entire manufacturing facility as they go through a change in leadership while helping to optimize all plant operations and continue their growth trajectory. The successful candidate will ensure this important plant becomes a model of professionalism, engagement and efficiency. Key Accountabilities:Conduct assessment of plant operations, people, equipment, processes and systems and recommend improvements to be implemented.Coach and mentor the manufacturing team to become a more efficient producer, encourage continuous improvement and serve as a business partner across the organization.Manage production floor, lead, coach and mentor managers and supervisorsultimately ensuring quality, accuracy and efficient production of product lines.Manage inventory of materials and finished goods to ensure highest possible service levels with controlled operating costs and delivery performance. Develop innovative, cost-effective systems and processes that enable growth and efficiency while measuring results.Oversee the coordination of daily production schedules.Review supply contracts, relationships, negotiate price and supply terms. Monitor compliance to Health and Safety procedures and takes appropriate action to deal with non-conformances, providing input for continuous improvement actions.Competencies and Requirements: Minimum 5-years experience managing an entire manufacturing plant within consumer goods, electronics, automotive or pharmaceutical sectors.Excellent leadership, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; Influential and inspirational leader.Advanced project management, analytical and organizational skills.General knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations.
