Job Title: Windows Systems & Network AdministratorLocation: Remote (Quebec residency a plus, but not mandatory)Travel: Occasional travel to U.S. and international client sites may be required.Clearance: Must be eligible to travel internationally. Canadian citizenship required.Position Summary:We are looking for a seasoned Windows Systems & Network Administrator to take command of our clients infrastructure across both on-premise and cloud environments. This isnt just another sysadmin gig this role is the tip of the spear in our mission to maintain bulletproof uptime, airtight security, and seamless operations for our clients.This is not a junior position. You need to be a hardcore Windows and Azure operator with a proven track record in modern endpoint management via Microsoft Intune. You'll partner closely with our Cloud Engineer together, you'll be the go-to duo managing the full IT stack.Mandatory Requirements:Experience:4-5+ years in a Windows Systems Admin role Proven hands-on experience managing Microsoft Intune in enterprise environments.Real-world Azure admin experience not just labs.Direct, hands-on Fortinet firewall experience.Deep Cisco switch/router configuration knowledge.Technical Skills:Operating Systems: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group PolicyCloud/Endpoint: Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Azure IaaS & PaaSNetworking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, VPNHardware: Cisco Switches/Routers, Fortinet FirewallsVirtualization: VMware vSphereScripting: PowerShell expert level!Key Responsibilities: Windows & Virtual Infrastructure:Manage and optimize Windows Server environments (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP).Own and administer VMware vSphere infrastructure.Implement and monitor backup & disaster recovery strategies.Cloud & Intune Management:Administer and optimize Microsoft Azure resources (VMs, VNets, NSGs, VPN Gateways).Take full ownership of Microsoft Intune: device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, app packaging & deployment.Oversee Microsoft 365 tenant: Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, etc.Network & Security Infrastructure:Configure and maintain Fortinet firewalls (NAT, VPN tunnels, security policies).Administer Cisco networking gear (VLANs, routing protocols like OSPF, BGP).Improve the security posture using FortiEDR, Microsoft Defender, and respond to incidents.Ops & Support:Act as Tier 2/3 escalation for tough tech issues.Automate admin tasks using PowerShell.Document systems, SOPs, and network diagrams with precision.Collaborate on IT projects from planning through to execution.Preferred (but not required):Certifications such as:Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104)Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrator (MD-102)Cisco CCNA or higherFortinet NSE 4+Experience with Jira and Agile/Scrum workflows.Bachelors in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.Why This Role Matters:This isnt a keep-the-lights-on job.
