Job Description

Civil Construction Supervisor Role This is a challenging opportunity to work as a Civil Construction Supervisor with our client in Canada. The ideal candidate will have experience managing the execution of small to medium size projects and knowledge of project management techniques. The role involves managing project contractors, monitoring performance, and implementing production standards. You will also be responsible for meeting operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and constructability reviews. To succeed in this position, you will need excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines. Job Responsibilities: Manages project contractors by monitoring and controlling performance Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and constructability reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements Meets project budgets and timelines by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions Accomplishes construction project results by contributing to project scope definition; estimating; enforcing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating contractor works; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change orders Prevents orders and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, the various regulations and codes Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures Requirements: Post-secondary education in civil engineering technology or considerable experience in a related field 5+ years'' experience in managing the execution of small to medium size projects Knowledge of project management techniques and experience in estimation, cost monitoring, analyzing and reporting Good organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines Benefits: Chartered travel, accommodations, and meals for the shift rotational schedule 6-month term with 5 years of construction planned, providing opportunities for extension About Our Client: Our client operates mines in Canada, Finland, Mexico, and Australia.
