TalentCompass is currently looking for Journeyman Millwrights and Welders for a client based in Dawson Creek, BC. This is a permanent onsite role and relocation is required for the role. Relocation assistance will be provided for the successful candidate. Shift Schedule is 10 hours per day, Monday to Thursday. Responsibilities - Maintains, repairs, installs, assembles and modifies equipment - Lubrication of machinery, seal replacement, cleaning of parts during overhauls and preventative maintenance. - Reads and creates blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. - Enter work requests and order parts and materials with CMMS - Install, repair and maintain airlines, pneumatic and hydraulic systems - Maintain and monitor equipment using predictive and preventive techniques. (Vibration analysis, stethoscopes, strobe lights and thermal imaging.) - Troubleshoot electrical problems, make decisions necessary to repair, and restore equipment to design specifications. - Perform electrical tests using megger, OHM meter, and other test equipment. - Perform work utilizing prints and/or computer logic. - Perform complex predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions. - Make process control changes. - Read wiring and circuit diagrams. Qualifications: - Red Seal Industrial Mechanic/Millwright - Minimum of 3 years'' of Industrial Experience - Knowledge of equipment maintenance. - Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, climb, bend, stoop, squat and lift. - Ability to work in confined spaces and at substantial heights - Ability to work in a team environment - Time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills. - Good communication, interpersonal skills and writing skills.
