The VPSR must be a parent of a child who graduated from the NICU at Mount Sinai Hospital.About our NICUThe NICU has 62 beds with Level III and Level II care, serving approximately 1,100 neonates annually. Our care philosophy is Family Integrated Care (FICare), involving parents actively in their infant's care.Responsibilities include:Understanding and promoting FICareEncouraging parental involvement in NICU programsActing as a liaison for NICU familiesDeveloping family support servicesParticipating in committees and meetingsProviding education to families and staffCollaborating with social workers and the healthcare teamFacilitating parent support groupsPerforming other related dutiesJob Requirements:Mandatory:Must be a parent of a baby in the Mount Sinai NICU born at less than 32 weeks gestation or a baby in NICU for less than 1 month with a graduate child older than 1 year.Skills and KnowledgeEffective communication skillsCultural competencyGood work attendanceAbility to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environmentIf interested, apply now and tell us why you'd be a great addition to our team.Additional InformationOpen Date: 5/7/2025Posting Deadline: 5/21/2025 by 4:00 pmEmployment is conditional upon credential verification, health review, and vaccination proof.
