Hiring immediately (Full time) The Montreal Fluency Centre (MFC) is looking for Speech-Language Pathologists to join our strong and well-respected team of clinicians. The MFC is a community-based, non-profit organization that specializes in assessment and treatment services to address difficulties with speech, language, literacy and learning. Our team works collaboratively with parents, teachers and other professionals to support our clients in the most effective way possible. We are implementing and developing many exciting and innovative programs, projects and events, both in-person and online via telepractice and webinars. Whether you are an expert in your field or just starting out, we are looking to collaborate with people from all fields. The MFC team is currently composed of experienced speech-language pathologists, educational therapists and school psychologists. We work with a wide range of clients, from preschool children to young adults, and serve many speech, language, literacy and learning needs through assessment, individual and small-group therapy, as well as off-site projects. In the dynamic and supportive work environment of the Montreal Fluency Centre, the speech-language pathologist is a member of an inter-disciplinary team. The MFC offers both in-person and distance treatment and programs, so the candidate should be comfortable in both an online and in-person environment. Assessment and treatment of: School-age language (grades will vary) School-age literacy Speech production difficulties in school-age children Requirements: Services will mainly be provided in English, so mastery of the English language is required, but bilingualism is an important factor in our clinical practice at the MFC so excellent French language ability (oral communication and reading skills) is also necessary SLP experience with assessment and treatment of school-aged children Membership in the OOAQ or in the process of being licensed Mastery of English language with excellent French communication skills Able to work within a flexible schedule, especially some after school hours Ability to work from home via teletherapy as well as on site Assets (not required): Experience working with teachers and school support teams Knowledge of tools to support reading comprehension, written language and oral narrative skills Experience with indigenous populations Benefits: In addition to the benefits listed below, the Montreal Fluency Centre also offers in-house training as well as mentoring and coaching by senior staff and team case discussions and problem solving.
