**Job Overview** This position is responsible for working closely with the shop foreman on ordering and managing parts inventory as well as maintaining accurate records for all equipment. The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge of on and off-road equipment, have good computer and organizational skills and a positive, proactive approach to keeping the shop and field running efficiently. **Responsibilities** * Open and close work orders in computer software * Source and purchase parts from vendors and suppliers in a cost-effective and timely manner * Order, receive, and inventory parts and supplies for construction equipment and shop needs * Attach technician notes and parts to work orders * Track job progress and communicate updates to foremen and supervisors * Maintain accurate service records and ensure proper documentation of all repairs * Assist with warranty claims on parts and follow-up as required * Maintain and organize the parts room; ensure stock levels are adequate * Assist in identifying and cross-referencing parts accurately * Follow all company safety policies and practices * Class 5 license with clean drivers abstract, an asset **Experience** * 2+ years of working with heavy equipment parts * Knowledge of construction equipment, tools and mechanical terminology * Problem-solving skills with the ability to cross-reference parts as needed * Ability to work independently and in a team environment * Good organizational and time management skills * Proficient with computer systems and software (Outlook, Excel, B2W) **What we Offer:** * Competitive compensation * Work/Live Balance with weekends off * Health and dental benefits Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday * No weekends * Overtime Ability to commute/relocate: * Coaldale, AB T1M 1P1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * on/off-highway equipment parts: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: In person
