As part of the New Verticals team, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in emerging categories like Grocery and Retail across Canada and Australia. Our mission is to bring the best of the local city to consumers, and you’ll be a key player in driving our merchant selection and acquisition strategy.About the RoleAs the Strategy and Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading all workflows that enable merchants to win their first orders on the marketplace. Your work will combine strategic planning, deep analytics, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on execution. From building selection intelligence to launching acceleration initiatives, you’ll be shaping the way we win in new international verticals.Key Responsibilities:• Identify and prioritize opportunities across non-restaurant categories in international markets.• Build and manage merchant pipelines, leveraging selection data and market intelligence.• Develop acquisition strategies—deciding which categories to target, in which markets, and at what pace.• Mobilize sales resources, including headcount planning, lead generation, and sales acceleration programs.• Ensure operational readiness for merchant onboarding, integration, and activation.• Improve merchant retention with a focus on the first 30 days post-onboarding.• Balance strategic planning with execution, from annual budget planning to launching city-specific initiatives.• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Finance, GMs, and Onboarding teams.Who You AreWe’re excited about you because you:• Bring 5+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, operations, business development, or analytics.
