Job Description

JOB STATEMENT:The Vice President, Eastern Canada at IDC WIN is responsible for contributing to the growth of IDC WIN sales by leading a team of Business Development Executives (BDEs), supporting their efforts in recruiting, managing advisor relationships, assisting advisors with training and development, case development, and case settlement.RESPONSIBILITIES:Business DevelopmentStrong leadership of a team of high performing BDEs, supporting their impact with advisors, overall performance & professional development;Working with IDC WIN Operations & carrier partners on escalations as required by our advisor network;Driving and supporting BDE efforts to recruit quality advisors to IDC WIN;Contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace; andMaintaining relationships with select IDC WIN advisors.Other ResponsibilitiesBuilding and executing a written strategic growth plan;Maintaining open communication with IDC WIN management regarding activities that affect both internal and external business relations;Active & engaged member of the Distribution leadership team;Building & maintaining high quality relationships with our insurance carrier partners; andPerforming other responsibilities as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONS:Post-secondary education, demonstrated commitment to continual learning;10+ years experience in the life insurance or related industry;Excellent communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills;Positive attitude and experience leading a high performing sales team;Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail; andHigh degree of professionalism, strong ethics and deep understanding of independent advisorsCOMPENSATION:Commensurate with experienceIf you are interested in applying for this position, please forward a cover letter and resume in confidence to is committed to accessibility in employment and to ensuring equal access to employment opportunities for candidates, including persons with disabilities.
