Job Description

PurposeThe BCMEA is seeking a part-time Office Administrator to support the daily operations of its Prince Rupert Training Centre. Reporting to the Training Manager, this role provides front-line reception, general office administration, and program-related support to ensure an efficient and welcoming environment.ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist visitors, respond to inquiries, and answer/direct incoming callsOpen, sort, and distribute mailBook meeting rooms and organize catering for meetings and training sessionsOrder and maintain office supplies and manage general office filingProvide administrative support for facilities-related tasksBuild and maintain Excel spreadsheets for administrative trackingScan, file, and update records and documentsEnter data for Training, Safety, and Recruitment documentationDraft and prepare correspondence and reportsSubmit and track port pass and security clearance applicationsSupport administrative and logistical components of special projectsProvide check-in and document collection support during recruitment periodsPerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills & RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one year of office or administrative experienceStrong verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized with excellent time management and attention to detailAble to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently and within a teamProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Able to manage multiple tasks under pressureStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsValid drivers license and access to a personal vehicleAdditional DetailsPart-time: 2025 hours per week, Monday to FridayFlexible scheduling available
