Were looking for a Project Manager - Deep Utilities in Whitehorse.Our client is a well-established company specializing in heavy civil construction and utility infrastructure. With over 30 years of industry experience, they are looking to add a dynamic and experienced Project Manager - Deep Utilities to their team. This role will focus on managing multiple utility projects ranging from $3 million to $15 million, overseeing teams, and ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, energetic, and able to manage multiple projects while maintaining strong client relationships.Project Manager responsibilities:Manage and oversee the execution of deep utility infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, and electrical systems, ranging from $3 million to $15 million in valueCoordinate and supervise project teams, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure efficient project deliveryReview and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to ensure accurate execution of workDevelop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely completion and staying within financial constraintsEnsure all projects comply with safety standards, regulations, and company quality protocolsRegularly communicate with clients to provide updates and manage expectations; foster strong relationships to ensure repeat businessHandle conflict resolution on-site and within the project team, ensuring a positive and productive work environmentMonitor project performance and make necessary adjustments to keep projects on trackMaintain up-to-date documentation for all projects, including permits, change orders, and safety reportsSupervise daily operations, including handling logistics, coordinating with vendors, and addressing any project challengesEnsure effective communication with senior management and provide timely progress reportsPrimarily office-based in Whitehorse with occasional travel (up to 4 hours) to job sites; company-provided accommodations availableThe successful candidate has:At least 5 years of experience in project management for deep utilities, construction, or civil infrastructureA technical degree (e.g., Construction Management, Civil Technology) or equivalent experienceno need for a civil engineering degreeStrong understanding of blueprints and technical drawings with the ability to effectively communicate them to teams and clientsExperience managing projects in the $3 million to $15 million range, with a proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyPositive, energetic attitude with a focus on providing excellent client service and maintaining strong, professional relationshipsSolid conflict resolution skills and the ability to manage difficult situations in a calm and professional mannerA willingness to travel within a 4-hour radius of Whitehorse; overnight stays in hotels providedValid drivers license; must pass drug and alcohol testsEntrepreneurial mindset, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem-solvingIdeal candidates may be individuals looking to take on more responsibility, or seasoned professionals who are ready for a more balanced roleCompensation and benefits:Competitive salary and performance-based bonusesCompany vehicle and accommodations providedComprehensive benefits packageA dynamic, entrepreneurial, and inclusive work environmentCandidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
