Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our academic team as a key contributor. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in shaping the program''s operations and curriculum development. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the subject matter expert, ensuring alignment with university standards and UAE Ministry of Higher Education requirements. Support the Program Chair/Coordinator in daily operations, facilitating efficient program management. Engage in teaching, research, development, and community outreach activities, driving academic excellence and student success. Participate in administrative duties and community service, fostering a positive impact on the institution. Teaching and Academic Duties: Instruct graduate and undergraduate courses in Accounting, maintaining accurate student records and submitting timely grades. Maintain up-to-date course syllabi, ensure curriculum evaluation, and suggest improvements to enhance student learning outcomes. Hold regular office hours, support student learning, and advise students, particularly those at academic risk. Recommend learning resources and materials, contributing to new course development and independent studies. Stay current with disciplinary developments through research and professional engagement, ensuring best practices in teaching and academia. Administrative and Community Engagement: Advise students during registration periods, attend faculty and departmental meetings, and participate in orientation and professional development workshops. Engage in community outreach activities, supporting the School''s accreditation efforts and representing the institution in professional settings. The ideal candidate will be committed to academic excellence, student success, and institutional growth. Qualification & Experience: The minimum amount of education and experience required for this position are as follows: Ph.D. in Accounting obtained from top 500 QS-ranked universities, preferably western accredited universities. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness and research publications in highly ranked Scopus journals. Applicants with experience within a Canadian Institution are preferred, while Middle East teaching experience is also highly valued. This position is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
