About the RoleWe are seeking a Business Data Analyst – Team Lead with a strong background in Data Governance to join our team on a long-term contract based in Toronto. This is a leadership opportunity for someone who can bridge the gap between business and data, drive governance practices, and lead a team toward delivering high-impact data initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead a team of Business Data Analysts on data governance and analytics initiativesCollaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define data quality rules, ownership, and metadataSupport the implementation of enterprise data governance tools and frameworks (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation)Analyze and document business data requirements, data flows, and process mapsDevelop and maintain data dictionaries, glossaries, and governance documentationIdentify data quality issues and work with teams to remediate themAct as a liaison between business, data stewards, and technical teamsQualifications5–8 years of experience as a Business/Data Analyst with data governance exposureProven experience in leading or mentoring teamsStrong understanding of data management principles, metadata, lineage, and stewardshipHands-on experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Talend, Alation, etc.)Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skillsExperience working in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, utilities) is a plusKnowledge of SQL or BI tools is an assetInterested candidates please submit your resume in PDF format
