Responsibilities:Commercial, Industrial & Multi-Residential Electrical Systems DesignPerform calculations and prepare drawings, schematics, and specificationsDetermine equipment sizing and selectionRead, understand, and apply Ontario Electrical Code, Ontario Building Codes and CAN/ULC Fire Alarm Standard and NFPA standardsEnsure quality standards and project deadlines are metProblem solve construction related issues in a timely fashionAble to manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity at the same timeAble to work in a stand-alone capacityAny other tasks assigned by Principals or Project Managers required to assist in the success of the firmStaff management experience is an assetQualifications:Expertise with AutoCADWorking knowledge in REVIT is preferredAbility to develop and coordinate 2D and 3D construction modelsMust be a team player with strong technical and communication skillsMust be fluent in the English languageExcellent verbal and writing communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects within a fast-paced environmentJunior candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of related design experience in electrical building systemsSenior candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of related design experience in electrical building systems and must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision from the Electrical Engineering SupervisorStrong working knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code and Ontario Building CodesAbility to work and apply technical resources with minimal supervisionSuperior computer skills including MS Office, AutoCAD, and other design toolsThe amount of experience would adjust the level of responsibility of the successful candidatespositionUnderstanding of building mechanical construction, systems, technologies, etc.Valid Ontario Driver’s License
