We are seeking an accomplished event leader and revenue generation professional who wants to advance their career as our Manager, Fundraising & Special Events.About You:As a key member of the We Care team, the Manager, Fundraising & Special Events will be accountable for leading and growing key fundraising priorities. Reporting to the Executive Director, the incumbent will lead fundraising and special events and work collaboratively with other departments to achieve event success and ambitious fundraising goals.This is a pivotal role in designing and lifting We Care’s fundraising success by applying event management and fundraising principles to our current events. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strategic mindset, exceptional planning and event management skills and a proven track record of driving fundraising and event success.The incumbent is a key contributor to the organization’s strategic plan and accountable to annual and long-term financial goals. They will embody We Care’s core values of accountability, respect, collaboration and integrity.KEY PRIORITIES FOR THE ROLE: · Fundraising · Event Planning · Volunteer Management · Financial Management · Community RelationsEVENT MANAGEMENT:· Identify, cultivate and develop fundraising strategies and event management with existing events and initiatives, with a keen eye toward future for diverse fundraising opportunities that align with our mission and objectives. · Oversee and evaluate current events while innovating for revenue growth and operational efficiencies. · Develops sponsorship packages, sells and services all sponsors and prospects as well as assisting in securing corporate sponsorship for programs· Employ astute and professional business acumen and data to analyze, refine and execute resources for operational efficiencies, innovation and ideation for new event opportunities.· Lead volunteer committees in the planning of each event (including maintaining and growing event committees where necessary).· Build and maintain strong relationships with integrity to employ stewardship principles with members and supporters. Leverage the marketing team and existing stewardship events and initiatives. · Manages day of logistics of events to ensure the smooth execution of the event to maximize revenue generation.· Ensures event expenses are in line with budget while managing the profitability and financial aspect of all the events· Provide expertise, ongoing guidance, and strategic support to other departments.LEADERSHIP: · Bring a positive and collaborative leadership approach to the We Care National office and across our membership, sponsors, supporters and volunteers.· Lead a team of fundraising professionals, volunteers and cross functional supports to achieve organizational goals.· Identify opportunities for innovation and operational efficiencies, using strategic thinking, strong problem solving and decision-making prowess.· Celebrate and acknowledge successes.· Other tasks as required.EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education from an accredited college or university· 5+ years of related experience in cause marketing, event management, volunteerism, fundraising or sales· Fundraising Strategy, Event Management, Corporate Partnership or Sales Experience in Revenue Generation· Negotiation and Leadership experience· Demonstrate experience working with large corporate partnerships and the ability to navigate complex organizations· Strong Stakeholder Communications, Board experience is an asset· CFRE is an asset· Knowledge of generally accepted fundraising, sponsorship and cause marketing principles and practices· Cross functional collaboration· Membership and Stewardship experience· Organizational processes and improvements· CRM · Data analysis and financial managementADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:· Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.· Successful completion of a Police Background check.· Must be able to work long days during events (early mornings, late evenings, weekends, as required by event schedules.HOURS OF WORK & WORKING CONDITIONS:· Core Business Working Hours with a Flexible Hybrid Schedule of 2 days/week in office (occasional weekend and evening work required). · Benefits available.· 3 weeks paid vacation, plus office closure during Christmas & New Years.· Free Parking at Office.· Office Location: Vaughan (Jane & Steeles Ave West).· Salary Range: $50,000-$65,000, based on experience.Please submit resumes, cover letter including salary expectations to .
