Associate Air Quality Consultant Trinity Consultants - Toronto, Ontario, Canada Environmental Consulting Reports To: Senior Consultant or Above Overtime Eligible Using fundamental technical skills, analytical abilities, and up-to-date regulatory knowledge, provide complete customer-oriented air quality permitting, air dispersion modelling, and environmental compliance solutions to assist clients in the industrial and commercial sectors in Canada. Conduct air dispersion modelling analysis in accordance with project requirements and/or published guidelines. Calculate air emissions, determine required control technologies, and document process information to ensure client operations, and work practices are in accordance with all applicable regulations. Prepare air permit applications (ECAs, EASRs), permit amendment applications, standard exemptions, source inventories, and emission fee calculations for submittal to state regulatory agencies for industrial clients. Implement sustainability projects for clients, including GHG inventory development, disclosures, and climate strategy. Assist clients with correspondences with the Ministry of Environment, Conservation, and Parks (MECP) and other regulatory agencies, including assistance with enforcement related communications. Develop strategy for regulatory compliance for clients. Understand existing regulations and continually review new and proposed regulations as they relate to industrial clients. Bachelors degree (B. in Chemical or Environmental Engineering from four-year college or university and relevant direct work experience. Must have computer literacy, including basic programming word processing, spreadsheet skills, and knowledge of Microsoft office software package. LICENSES / ACCREDITATION A valid Drivers License for the province of Ontario. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
