Base pay range CA$135,000.00/yr - CA$155,000.00/yr Job Description Job Title: Senior Manager, People Systems Reports To: VP HR Operations Employment Status: Full Time Location: Burnaby, BC 123Dentist is Canadas largest majority dentist-owned network of dental practices, with almost 500 locations nationwide and nearly 8,000 employees. Job Overview: As Senior Manager, HR & People Systems, you will lead our Human Capital Management, Application Tracking and Employee Engagement system configurations, operations, and optimization. The ''systems'' in your title reflects our focus on understanding how people, processes, and technology work together. While your primary focus will be on our HCM and Applicant tracking systems, you will need to think holistically about how our HR systems support and enhance the way our workforce operates. Your hands-on expertise combined with strategic thinking will help create efficient, scalable HR processes that enhance how our employee''s work. This is a chance to go beyond traditional system administration to build solutions that drive genuine business impact. Responsibilities and Duties: Oversees the full-cycle implementation of HCM & ATS, ensuring seamless integration with payroll and other human capital decision support systems. Builds and leads a team to support HR systems and process optimization. Drives process optimization and automation through effective use of system capabilities Partners with stakeholders across HR, Finance, IT, and other business units to align system capabilities with organizational needs. Ensures compliance, data security, and efficiency in HR tech operations. Provides training and support to HR and recruitment teams on system functionalities. Leads change management and user adoption initiatives Reviews vendor performance, assesses system enhancements, and provides recommendations for improvements or changes to optimize HRIS functionality and cost effectiveness. Develops and enforces HR technology policies, ensuring alignment with industry benchmarks, best practices, and emerging technologies. Manages HR system upgrades, implementations, and enhancements, including system testing, troubleshooting, and end-user training. Leads system troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex issues Leads the development of custom reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision making Manages the full deployment cycle from testing to production Leads and mentors a team of HR systems professionals Manages multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines Ensures data integrity, security, and compliance across HR systems Education, Credentials, Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in HRIS administration, HR/people analytics, or HR systems. Experience leading and mentoring a team Required Skills & Abilities: Proven experience leading HR technology implementations, preferably Workday. Experience leading technical teams and managing complex projects Strong understanding of HR processes and how they translate into system and compliance requirements Experience with system integrations and data management Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-solving mindset with a record of accomplishment of driving process improvements. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proven experience leading HR technology projects, system upgrades, and process automation. Knowledge of data governance and security best practices Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic thinking Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration Strong project management and organizational skills Clear communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to various audience Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 123Dentist is an equal opportunity employer.
