About Us The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and AtkinsRalis located in Kincardine, Ontario. Shoreline Power Group is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program which replaces the main components of 6 reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders as well as construction management and trade labor. This project is part of Bruce Powers Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Powers CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064. The Mechanical Quality Inspector is responsible for performing all quality functions and duties related to the FCFR construction activities under the JV QA Program. The position reports to the Project Quality Assurance Supervisor. What You''ll Do Here Participate in the execution of the Inspection and Test Plans. Perform quality inspections in accordance with related codes and customer specifications, including but not limited to: Dimensional inspections Visual welding inspections Hardness testing Positive material identification Review Certified Material Test Reports as required. Perform internal weld monitoring as required. Complete all documentation and forms for individual inspections. Participate in developing and maintaining a cost of quality tracking system. Track non-conformance issues. What You Bring To The Team Graduate secondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC, or a related discipline at the university or college level. W178 Level 1 or 2 Visual Weld inspection (preferred). Good communication and organizational skills. Experience with ASME Code, B&PV, Nuclear/ISO 9001, and CWB standards. Experience in receiving inspections within a Nuclear Qualified Warehouse and Clean Room (asset). We are committed to fostering diversity, inclusion, and belonging within our organization.
