Your Next Challenge: Reporting to the Mine Superintendent, you will be part of the Mine Department, responsible for safety, production, and cost targets in your designated area. You will oversee mining operations, ensure safety and environmental standards, and promote our values. Model and reinforce safety in all procedures and compliance with regulations Inspect underground workstations and follow up on incidents Take corrective actions on safety concerns Identify and correct safety hazards Ensure compliance with government regulations and internal policies Coordinate communication among departments regarding production and maintenance Lead and motivate teams to work safely Maintain technical and management skills and support team learning Explain policies, provide feedback, and promote professionalism Coordinate daily mining activities and contribute to engineering plans Ensure productivity targets are met, troubleshoot technical issues, and stay current with new technologies Manage policies on absenteeism, discipline, and oversee inventory and equipment levels Assist in budget setting and track costs Perform other duties as assigned What you need to succeed: A minimum of Grade 12 education or equivalent Ten years of mining experience, with at least three in a supervisory role Competency with Ontario Mining Act and Regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Your Work Schedule: 7/7 day shift at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON. #J-18808-Ljbffr
