Do you have experience taking projects from PEA through design, permitting, construction into operations?Have you got experience in surface mining and gold processing methods?CSG are exclusively partnered with a mineral exploration company who are aiming to build a leading exploration and development company setting new standards in socio-economic responsibility. They are recruiting for a VP Engineering to help advance their major flagship project.The VP Engineering will be involved in shaping the trajectory of the company using their mine development, engineering and study experience. The candidate will be based in their corporate office in Vancouver or the Yukon territory.Duties of the VP Engineering include:Lead multi-disciplinary teams through all phases associated with the advancement of the Project, including mine design, engineering, permitting and construction planning.Oversee the preparation of all technical studies, engineering design and reports.Work with the Company leadership team to develop a project execution strategy, including key milestones, timelines and deliverables.Participate in and lead meetings with government entities, regulatory bodies, First Nations, external and internal stakeholders relating to the engineering, design and advancing the development of the project.Required experience:Minimum 15 years of progressive engineering experience.Previous experience in the development of major mining projects from PEA stage through to operations.Experience in open-pit mining, gold processing methods, and mine development in northern (cold weather) climates considered an asset.A strong understanding of project permitting, regulations and guidelines relevant to mine development in the Yukon Territory.If this is an opportunity you would like to discuss further or have anyone you can recommend, please get in contact.Seniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionMining #J-18808-Ljbffr
