Our client, Ottawa base client in the Financial space, is seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer for a multi year HYBRID contract to support infrastructure automation and cloud engineering initiatives. The successful candidate will have hands-on expertise in Azure and containerization technologies, with strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines. The candidate must have a valid security clearance in place at the SECRET LEVEL.Required Qualifications & Skills:University degree or college diploma in business administration or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation rolesMinimum 5 years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and solutionsExperience working in Agile teams using JIRA and documenting in ConfluenceExperience deploying and managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and/or Red Hat OpenShiftStrong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using TerraformExperience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOpsProficient in Git-based version control systems such as GitHubAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to changing needsPreferred/Additional Qualifications:Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400)Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or PythonExperience with cloud migration projects from on-premises to AzureSolid understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity managementBusiness Communication: Capable of conveying complex information clearly and persuasively across all levels and to global audiences.Strategic Thinking: Understands and applies a long-term, big-picture perspective to identify and pursue business opportunities.Relationship Management: Builds and maintains effective working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers; skilled in influencing, negotiating, and managing conflict.Critical Thinking: Applies data-driven analysis and sound judgment to develop actionable recommendations and business solutions.
