My husband and I are new Professors at the University of Calgary. African family from South Africa, moving from Germany to Calgary on 1 July. We have two children, 9 and 6 years old, girl and boy. They speak fluent German and English. The 9 year old is in school in Germany in class 2 and the 6 year old boy starts class 1 in September. They are very friendly and easy going and cooperative but talk a lot. They get bored easily and needs to be kept busy. The boy loves soccer, lego and history about Ancient egypt and titanic, monster trucks, music. The girl loves to learn and enjoys math, make-up, crafts, singing and play piano (very basic), learning to read English books (since she is a German education system) and outdoors.
