LPN Opportunity We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents in a positive and supportive environment. Resident admissions, discharges, and transfers: Ensure seamless transitions for our residents, working closely with other members of the care team. Resident assessments and care planning: Develop personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident. Administration of medications, treatments, and wound care: Provide accurate and timely medication administration, as well as effective wound care and treatment. Electronic documentation and MDS Assessments: Utilize electronic systems to record and track resident information, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Liaising with physicians, families, and other members of the care team: Foster open communication and collaboration to ensure optimal resident care. Delegating tasks to unregulated care providers: Effectively manage workload and delegate tasks to support staff, promoting efficient care delivery. Care Conferences and Medication reviews: Participate in regular conferences and medication reviews to ensure resident safety and well-being. Required Skills and Qualifications Registered and in good standing with BCCNM: Maintain current registration and adherence to professional standards. Current CPR/First Aid Certificate: Demonstrate proficiency in life-saving skills and emergency response. Competent in electronic documentation and eMar: Familiarity with electronic systems and ability to navigate efficiently. Fluent in English - both verbal and written: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues. Critical thinking and decision-making skills: Apply sound judgment and critical thinking to make informed decisions. Previous experience in Long Term Care: Preference given to candidates with prior experience in long-term care settings.
