Support Worker Wanted for Young Adult with Developmental Disability Job Overview We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Disability Support Worker to support a 23-year-old male with developmental disabilitiesboth at home and out in the community. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others live a full, supported, and engaged life. Key Responsibilities Provide personalized care and assistance in both home and community settings. Support daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders. Foster social engagement through conversation, activities, and community outings. Encourage independence while providing a safe and supportive environment. Assist with mobility and participate in recreational and social adventures. Follow established care plans and communicate observations or concerns with the family. Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful space at all times. Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience in disability support, home care, senior care, or a related field (preferred but not required). Familiarity with personal care routines and medication protocols is an asset. A background in nursing, PSW, DSW, or similar is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others. A sense of fun, flexibility, and willingness to join in community adventures. Must be comfortable with dogs. Why Join Us?
