The focus of this role is to drive commercial growth by securing new business from biotech and pharma clients in global emerging markets, including but not limited to Latin America, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, and parts of Africa.We have made multiple successful placements with this client. They are a highly reputable organization with significant financial backing and a strong commitment to supporting their commercial leaders.Your RoleThis is a senior-level, hunter-focused business development position. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new client relationships across North and South America, with a focus on emerging market customers.Key ResponsibilitiesLead business development efforts across the Americas while targeting global emerging marketsEngage clients in regions including but not limited to Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru), Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines), Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania), India, Trkiye, South Africa, and the Middle EastBuild relationships with clinical and commercial-stage biotech, emerging biotech, and mid-sized pharmaceutical companiesSell small-molecule CDMO services with an emphasis on APIs and oncology productsDrive strategy, build a pipeline, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutionsRepresent the organization to C-level decision-makers and technical stakeholdersWhat You BringA minimum of 10 years (or there abouts) of business development experience in pharmaceutical services or CDMO settingsProven success selling small molecules, APIs, and preferably oncology or high-potency APIsStrong experience working with clients in emerging marketsEstablished network within biotech and mid-size pharma organizationsAbility to work independently and build a regional strategy from the ground upYou must be based in the Americas, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, or ChileCompensation and Interview ProcessCompetitive six-figure base salary, reflective of experience25 percent annual performance bonusCommission scheme negotiable based on experience and deal structureFull benefits package, travel coverage, and necessary commercial toolsTwo-stage interview process
