Position Summary The HSE & Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) programs within a corporate office setting. The role focuses on ensuring legal compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and working closely with internal departments and joint venture stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Corporate Office HSE Responsibilities Promote awareness and adherence to QHSE standards and policies across the office. Take ownership of QHSE duties in alignment with internal standards and external regulations. Oversee regulatory compliance in coordination with head office and external government agencies. Lead efforts related to occupational health, ergonomics, hygiene, and wellness programs. Support the design and execution of HSE risk assessments and mitigation strategies. Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions. Maintain expertise in applicable laws, standards, and risk controls. Ensure effective internal communication of HSE initiatives and updates. Monitor compliance and collect employee feedback to drive continuous improvement. Support emergency preparedness and coordinate fire safety and evacuation drills. Lead or assist in food safety checks and facility inspections. Organize and promote safety awareness events. Liaise with HR to manage staff health surveillance and wellness programs. Joint Venture HSE Oversight Review HSE data from joint venture operations and provide analysis and recommendations. Participate in audits, drills, and investigations conducted by JV partners. Consolidate and maintain regular HSE performance reporting. Quality Assurance Responsibilities Implement and maintain internal QA protocols aligned with applicable national/international standards. Recommend and monitor safety measures for chemical and industrial operations. Support the development of ISO certification efforts and related audits. Maintain document control systems and ensure alignment with business process mapping. Evaluate and advise on system-level improvements for QHSE performance. Contribute to risk management and policy development within defined frameworks. Qualifications Education & Certification Bachelor''s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field. Professional designation such as CRSP preferred. Formal training in QHSE management systems is considered an asset. Experience Minimum of 8 years progressive experience in QHSE roles, including at least 5 years at the corporate level within the oil and gas industry. Skills & Competencies Exceptional communication and discretion when handling sensitive information. Confident, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build effective relationships across diverse teams. Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making abilities.
